The anesthesia profession is considered one of the important and essential medical specialties for dealing with the patient and performing major and minor surgical operations. In addition, the mission of the Department of Anesthesia Techniques at Al-Hadi University College is Directing and adapting all resources to achieve excellence in education, research and patient care, and contributing to improving human health and preventing diseases throughout Iraq to provide services and medical care in the field of anesthesia. This message includes the basic elements for improving patient care in Iraq, including education, scientific research, continuing education, and community service. In addition to preparing scientifically qualified cadres to be distinguished members of the health care team in various hospitals, the department is also committed to graduating trained anesthesia technology specialists to assist anesthesiologists in providing safe, high-quality care for the surgical patient.

The department provides various health institutions with specialized health personnel to fill the shortage in the field of anesthesia and intensive care at the present time and in the future. In addition to providing the department with the latest scientific technologies, the department’s teaching staff participating in international scientific conferences, and opening postgraduate studies in the department’s precise specializations to serve the needs of society.

The department aims to prepare health personnel specialized in anesthesia and intensive care techniques to work in public and private sector health institutions. Tasks and duties of department graduates: 1- Preparing, operating, and following up on the organization of anesthesia, monitoring, and treatment devices in the various intensive care units. 2- Preparing the patient before performing the surgery in the operating room. 3- Giving the patient the appropriate doses of anesthesia. 4- Carrying out intensive care tasks for the patient and dealing with narcotic substances. 5- The medical team participates in clinical interventions for emergency and life-threatening cases in its various workplaces (operating and recovery rooms). 6- Graduation of scientific cadres with specialization. 7- The student learned how to prepare the medications and solutions required for anesthesia. 8- Enabling students to obtain knowledge, intellectual understanding, and skills to identify anesthesia devices and methods of maintainin
